Zamfara state police command has arrested four persons for allegedly abducting and gang raping an eighteen-year old girl in Gusau town for one week.
Parading the suspects at the police headquarters in Gusau on Wednesday, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command SP Mohammed Shehu said, the suspects were arrested following a complaint from the father of the rapped victim, Miss Luba Lawali.
The arrested suspects according to Shehu were, Isiyaku Abdullahi aged 35, Abdullahi Yusuf 22, Mohammed Lawali 20, and Bara,u Abdullahi 28.
Shehu said, the suspected persons abducted Luba Lawali on October 25 this year and kept her in an apartment where they gang rapped here for a week.
Shehu said, “On 1st November, 2022 Police detectives attached to Anti-Violence Squad arrested the suspects in connection with the alleged abduction and raping of one Luba Lawali”.
“The arrest was sequel to a complaint received from the father of the victim Luba Lawali ‘F’ of Hayin Buba area Gusau who was abducted by the suspects and raped since on 25th of October, 2022 until on the 1st of November, 2022 when nemesis caught off with them and arrested by the Police”.
Shehu stressed that all the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution immediately after the investigation.
