Addressing Journalists on Thursday, Alhaji Ibrahim said, since the court has nullified the election of Hon. Sani Dangaladima and ordered for a fresh election within two weeks, it was high time for the PDP to hasten the election as stipulated by the court order to avoid losing a candidate for the forthcoming general elections.

He stressed that, if the election was not conducted within the time frame, PDP would not be able to fill in any candidate for the 2023 elections.

He explained that he instituted a case in respect of the primary election conducted by the PDP where Sani Dangaladima was said to have won the election but it was nullified due to series of irregularities and ordered for a fresh one within two weeks.

He stated that, the order of the court was about to expire while the election was yet to be conducted, lamenting that, this could lead the party to lose a candidate for the federal house of representatives in the forthcoming general elections.

He said, “Gentlemen of the press, as you are all aware,  I instituted a case in respect of the primary election conducted by our great party the PDP for Birnin Magaji/Kaura-namoda Federal Constituency”.

“The primary election that brought Hon Sani Dangaladima as a candidate of the PDP was marred by irregularities and none compliance with the PDP’s constitution and the electoral act 2022”.

“The court being the last hope of the common man delivered a judgement and ordered for a fresh election within 14 days from the date of the judgement on November 11, 2022”.

“The court has also declared that Sani Dangaladima should not be among the contestants because he did not fulfill the requirements to be a member of the PDP and therefore is not eligible to contest the primary election”.

“Some bad elements who are serving members of the Federal House of Representatives who included Hon Sani Dangaladima, Hon Shehu Ahmed, Hon Bello Hassan, Hon Suleiman Gummi and Hon Amadu Mai palace are frustrating the process of the fresh primary election”

“I want them to understand that if the election is not conducted, it will negativity affect our party as we will not be able to fill in any candidate for the 2023 election”.

“I am therefore appealing to our great party to wade in and salvage the situation by honouring the court order and organize a fresh election between now and Sunday as we are running out of time”. Concluded Ibrahim Alti Birnin Magaji.
