Arrangements have been concluded by Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to flag off campaign for its gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Bello Matawalle.
Addressing journalists in Gusau on Monday, the Director, Directorate of Publicity of APC gubernortorial campaign council, Alhaji Ibrahim Danmalikin Gidan-goga said, the flag off would take place in Kaura-namoda town on Tuesday.
He maitained that, the chairman of the campaign, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Yari and all the former Governors who ruled the state would be at the venue of the rally on Tuesday.
He explained that, the rally would also continue in Bakura town on Wednesday, while the same rally would be organized in Bungudu town on Thursday.
Danmaliki stressed that, the APC flag off campaign would be the best ever organized in the state since 1999.
He added that the party has already inaugurated committees at the wards, local governments and state leves with a view to ensuring that, Governor Bello Mattawalle won the governorship election come 2023.
He expressed optimism that, the APC would emerge victorious in all the elections, stressing that, “PDP has never ruled the state since the beginning of democracy in 1999.
According to him, the two Governors who ruled the state under the PDP did not win elections under the PDP.
He said, “You are all aware that, PDP has never won in Zamfara state”.
“The two Governors (Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi and Bello Mattawalle did not win election”.
“They were brought into office through some circumstances which all of you have been aware of”.
“So, I have no doubt in my mind that, all APC candidates will emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections”. Concluded Danmaliki.
