The Court of Appeal, Sokoto Division has affirmed Dauda Lawan Dare as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State.
Dauda according to the court’s ruling is the authentic candidate of PDP in the 2023 general election.
The Appeal court set aside the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Gusau, the state capital, which had earlier nullified Dare’s primary election victory.
Recall that in November 2022, the Federal High court nullified the governorship primary of the PDP that produced Dare as the party’s candidate.
