The Director General of the PDP Gubernortorial Campaign Council in Kebbi State Abubakar Shehu GEDA said the party has uncovered plots by some unscuplous elements to rig tomorrow’s elections
Addressing journalists in Birnin Kebbi Abu Shehu said the enemies of democratic process had perfected documented plans to disrupt elections in 16 out of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
“They had plans to connive with some unpatriotic İNEC staff to start elections late, deliberately diactivate BVAS, ensure over-voting and violence.
These ations would in turn lead to the cancellations of polling units” said the Director-General
Abubakar Shehu added that” Now that the evil plans have been exposed we are urging İNEC, Police, DSS and relevant authorities to investigate the matter and bring to book the culprits for deliberately trunketting Nigeria’s democracy
The Kebbi State Police command has promised to remain neutral during the election.
On its own part, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has distanced itself from the alleged rigging process, adding that it would maintain its status of unbiased umpire.
