We must collectively work hard to fix Zamfara as nothing is working at the moment, says Lawan Dare

Zamfara State Governor-elect Dauda Lawal has observed that nothing is working in the state.

He therefore called on the people of the state to collectively work harder to save the state from disintegration.

Lawan Dare who made the passionate appeal when he received his certificate of return as Governor-elect on Friday said, the state needed a lot of things to put it on the right track.

He urged the people of the state to take advantage of the Holy month of Ramadan to pray for his incoming administration to succeed in bringing about the desired developments which were packing in all sectors of the economy.

Lawan Dare used the occasion to thank the electorate for coming out en-mass to elect him and other PDP candidates.

He also thanked the people, the PDP and friends who made it possible for him to win the Governorship polls in the State.

 He assured them that thier efforts would not be in vain.

 He said, “my administration will bring about positive changes and place the state on the relevant path of development”.

Lawan Dare and his Deputy- elect Mallam- Mani Mallam- Muni, have today received their certificate of return from the state Independent National Electoral commission, INEC, in the State capital Gusau.

The commission also presented certificate of return to 24 State legislators-elect, comprising of 17 members from PDP platform, and seven from the ruling APC.

The National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in charge of Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States, Professor Muhammad Kalla presented the certificates of return to the Governor- elect Dauda Lawal and Deputy Mallam- Mani Mallam- Muni.

The state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Babura Ahmed presented the certificates of return to the 24 State Assembly members- elect.

The occasion was witnessed by thousands of PDP supporters despite strict security measures put in place by the security personnel who worked assiduously to control the crowd.
