Members of the 10th Assembly in Kebbi State have unanimously elected Usman Muhammad Ankwai from Kebbi South Senatorial District as Speaker and Samaila Ahmed Bambu from Kebbi North as his Deputy
In a brief ceremony, the Clerk of the House, Sulaiman Shamaki described the Speaker as a legislator with impeccable record of hardwork, sincerity and an enviable democrat
The Clerk swore in the Speaker and shortly afterwards the Speaker administered oath of office to the remaining twenty-three members of the House in Birnin Kebbi
Speakng to newsmen after the ceremony, the Speaker, Muhammad Usman promised to work hand in hand with the Executive Arm of Government in order to bring meaningful development to the State as well as ensuring autonomy of the Legislature
The House comprised of 20 members from APC and 4 PDP members
