The Zamfara state All Progressive Congress (APC) has finally revalidated Senator Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura after struggling for five days to clear himself of the allegation that he was romancing with the PDP.
Yarima had been struggling to be registered and revalidated by the APC since last Saturday but was unable to do so until today Wednesday, after the intervention of prominent personalities in the country.
Several attempts were made by Yarima to convince the APC stakeholders to believe that, he was not romancing with the ruling PDP goverment in the state but didn’t succeed until he finally decided to look for help from other prominent personalities in the country.
Addressing journalists immediately after he was revalidated and obtained his membership card, Senator Yarima thanked the Governors of kano, Zamfara, Niger and Kebbi states for their intervention into the matter that has saved him from being rejected as APC member.
Yarima specifically thanked the Chief Protocol to the state House, Abuja, Ambassador Kazaure for the role he played in solving the problem that has given him sleepless nights.
“I want to thank the state Chief Protocol Ambassador Kazaure for all the efforts he has done regarding my revalidation and registration as APC member”.
He appealed to those saddled with the responsibility of the registration and revalidation exercise to fear God and treat all members as equal.
“I want to appeal to those who are saddled with the responsibility of the registration exercise in Zamfara and all over the country to fear God and give equal opportunity to all Nigerians to come and register with our party APC”.
“They should understand that power belongs to God and he gives it to whoever he wishes. If they deny anybody to register, they may not know that, he may become somebody in future.
Yarima however maintained that he has forgiven all those who participated in ensuring that he was not registered, calling on his supporters to also forgive and forget about what happened.
Speaking at the occasion, the state APC Caretaker Committee chairman, Alhaji Lawal M. Liman said, Yarima got problem right from his local government area where he was accused of anti-party activities.
Liman however maintained that, the issue has been resolved amicably as a result of the intervention by the party’s officials at the national headquarters.
