From Maiharaji Altine Gusau
The committee chairman of the Zamfara APC congress, Ibrahim Masari said, there was no faction within the party in the state as being speculated by some aggrieved members of the party.
Speaking on Saturday at the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected state’s executive members of the party in a grand ceremony at the trade Fair Complex Gusau, Masari said, it was not true that the party was factionalised.
Masari said, “We are the bonnafide members of the committee sent by the national headquarters of the APC in Abuja to come to Zamfara to conduct a state congress”.
“Anybody who said that a pararrel congress was held in the state is only deceiving himself”.
“As you can see, both the officials of the party and those of the National Electoral Commission are all here”.
Masari said, based on consensus, the party has elected the leaders of the party to run its affairs for the next four years.
He urged other members of the party to bury their differences and join hand with Governor Matawalle to move the party forward.
At the end of the congress, Tukur Mai bulo emerged as chairman of the party in the state, while Tukur Umar emerged as secretary.
The former Director General Media Public Enlightenment and Communications Government House Gusau, Malam Yusuf Idris was elected as publicity Secretary of the party.
