Former Governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Bello Mattawalle said his appointment is a pride to the citizens of Zamfara.
Matawalle stated this in Abuja while speaking to newsmen in Abuja over the weekend.
He stressed that the seat was an honor to the state to be physically part of the stakeholders in the nation
Matawalle gave assurance to the nation that he would diligently serve to justify his ministerial appointment by President Bola Tinibu as worthwhile.
“My nomination is by the will of divine arrangement, just as I was recently holding a position of a governor, but Allah in his wisdom brought a new task for me,” be said, stressing his assurance to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to do his best without failure.
Mattawale recalled his days as chief executive of Zamfara State, saying security has improved in no small measure during his administration in the state.
According to him, the insurgency has, during his administration, reduced to a minimal, while killings, banditry, and cattle rustling were close to an end.
He however lamented that the insecurity challenges have returned few months to his handing over to the present administration in the state.
He therefore called on Governor Dauda Lawal to strive hard to get rid of the menace.
