Governor Nasir Idris of kebbi state, National Chairman, Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamako and other prominent Nigerians attended the funeral prayer of late Sheik Abubakar Giro Argungu who died on Tuesday
Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau led the funeral prayer in Argungu town of Kebbi State with many other distinguished Nigerians in attendance.
Bala Lau prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
Speaking to Journalists shortly after the funeral, Governor Idris appealed to his immediate family members, people of Argungu, Kebbi and the entire Muslim Ummah to take heart and accept the will of God in good faith.
He described the deceased as a humble, honest and religious person who stood firm in promoting Islam.
Idris observed that JIBWIS and Muslim community would never forget the active contributions of the deceased towards the propagation of islam in Nigeria and beyond.
