Zamfara CP presents N50.1m cheques to 27 next of kins on behalf of IGP

The Zamfara Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Shehu Dalijan has on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun presented  cheques of N50.1 million to the 27 next of kins of the officers who died while serving their Father Land.

In a statement, the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Yazid Abubakar said the cheques were part of the IGP’s initiative under the Group Personal Accident and IGP family welfare insurance schemes of the Force to assist the families of the officers who paid the supreme price with their lives.

The CP, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the IGP for his kind gesture and also appealed to the families of the deceased officers to make good use of the money and take care of their families.

Meanwhile, Mr. Yahaya Umar one of the beneficiaries in his remarks on behalf of other beneficiaries, thanked the Inspector General of police and the state police Command for the support.

He also assured that the money given to them would be spent wisely.
