Governor Nasir Idris, has on Tuesday watched a novelty football match organised by the State branch of Nigeria Labour Congress,NLC and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria,TUC, at the FIFA mini Stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
The novelty football match which was part of activities to commomerate the 2024 ‘Workers’ Day ‘ in the State, was played between the State Executive Council team and the State Labour Congress officials ended 0-0 , with no goal recorded on either side.
Governor Nasir Idris who was visibly elated by the game, applauded both teams for exhibiting high sense of maturity during the game officiated by Hon. Bello Yakubu Rilisco, the Chairman of State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena, the Head of Service and other top government officials also watched the match
The State Governor returned to the State capital this Tuesday after attending a Peace and Security Symposium in America last week.
