Tudun Bici Attack: Gov Idris pledges to deploy more security personnel

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has assured the community of Tudun Bici  in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of the planned deployment of additional security personnel to the area.

The Governor made the pledge on Friday when he visited the community to commiserate with them over the killing of seven people from the village on Thursday by bandits.

Governor Idris said the deployment of more security personnel to the village was necessary to further bolster the security of the area for the protection of lives and property of people.

” I am assuring you that in the next one week, I will make sure that more security personnel are sent to protect people against the bandits,”‘he assured.

The governor told the residents that his administration’s topmost priority was to the provision of security to people so that they could go about their normal activities safely.

He said that since he assumed  office office , his administration has taken a myriad of proactive measures to improve security in the state by supporting the various security agencies.

” We hold regular meetings on security, provided logistics and material support to our security personnel,” he averred.

While sympathising with the victims over the attack,Governor Nasir Idris also promised to provide relief assistance to them.

He urged the residents to report any suspicious stranger in their midst to the nearest security agency and warned that he will not hesitate to sign the death warrant  of any convicted informant.

Governor Idris announced that the 3-kms road in the area will soon be constructed by the state government.

The District Head of the village, Dagacin Tudun Bici, Alhaji Muhammadu Mikailu, thanked the governor for the sympathy visit.

He appealed to him for the rapid development of security personnel to the village to tighten security and rehabilitation of the 3-kms road in the area.

Mikailu commended the resilience of the security personnel stationed in the area in fighting the bandits.
