The battle for who occupies the number one seat in Sokoto Government House has started two years ahead of 2027 general elections, as chieftains of the (PDP) in the state met on Sunday to strategize on how to reclaim power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.

Fomer Governor of the state senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has at the stakeholders meeting held in Sokoto warned Nigerians against voting APC in the 2027 general election, saying that voting Bola Ahmed Tinubu is like adding salt to an injury.

He said the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari and that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are the same, adding that, “you cannot differenciate between the two due to poor leadership”.

“Nigerian citizens have no moral justification to vote APC again in all future elections as they failed Nigerians woofully in all ramifications”.

“The country is currently bleeding struggling to survive in the intensive care unit. It’s in the hands of those who know not what it takes to be a leader, those who only care about what is good for them and their kinsmen”

The state Party Chairman, Hon Muhammadu Bello Goronyo while speaking shortly after the commencement of the stakeholders meeting held at the state PDP Secretariat Sokoto said PDP was robbed of 2023 gubernatorial election in Sokoto state.

He further said The peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders have once again donned their armour and returned to the trenches, gearing up for a battle of attrition unlike any other.

“The stage is set for a tumultuous showdown as the party leaders have since braced themselves for the impending electoral fray, showcasing a renewed spirit of engagement and competition in the democratic process”. Said Goronyo.
