The former Governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Yari has registered as an APC member in his poling unit in Talata-Mafara town in the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise and assured that the party would reclaim the state come 2023.
Yari who was the first person to be registered in the state said, “We will reclaim our stolen mandate from the ruling PDP in the state”.
He stated that, since 1999 to date, Zamfara state has never been won by PDP, lamenting that what happened in 2020 was as a result of misunderstanding between the APC members.
“The PDP was only lucky to get the control of the state through the litigation by the Supreme court and I am assuring you that we are going to reclaim the state in the next election by God’s willing”. Said Yari.
He commended the officials of the the exercise under the leadership of Alhaji Kareti Lawal who were sent to supervise the exercise from the national headquarters of the party in Abuja.
Yari maintained that, the exercise would continue until all the members of the party were registered.
He called on all party members to come out and register so as to qualify them as genuine members of the party.
